Privacy Policy — Sigmap
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Sigmap ("the app") is published by Kian Fong. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: it doesn't collect any.
No data collection
Sigmap does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking — on this device or anywhere else.
What stays on your device
- Camera. The camera feed is processed in real time to track the floor for AR. Frames are never saved, recorded, or sent anywhere.
- Network measurements. Ping latency readings are computed on your device and never leave it.
- Snapshots. If you take a snapshot, it is saved only to your own photo library, at your request.
Permissions the app requests
- Camera — to see the floor and paint the AR heatmap.
- Local Network — only to ping your own router when you choose it as the measurement target.
- Photo Library (add-only) — only to save snapshots you take.
Diagnostics (optional)
If diagnostics are enabled, the app may write a local log file (memory and timing traces) on the device for troubleshooting. This log is never transmitted off the device.
Children
Sigmap does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect data at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
